If You Died Today, Do You Know For Sure That You Would Go To Heaven?
While we don’t like to readily acknowledge if death is a reality for all mankind. The Bible says in Hebrews 9.27 "And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment." The question is what will death mean for you; will it be everlasting life with God in heaven or separated from God for all eternity?
You can be confident in eternal life by receiving God’s gift of life, the Lord Jesus Christ. I John 5.11-12 11 "And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life."
In one minute, you can know for sure that if you died today, you would go to heaven.
There are four things you should know:
Fact 1 ~ God says that all men are sinners. “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” Romans 3.23
Fact 2 ~ God says that the wages of your sin (all our sin) is death. “For the wages of sin is death: but the gift of God is eternal
life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6.23
Fact 3 ~ God sent Christ to die for our sin. “But God demonstrated His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners,
Christ died for us.”
Fact 4 ~ We must accept Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord
shall be saved.” Romans 10.13
It is as simple as A.B.C.
Acknowledge that you are a sinner before God.
Believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross to save you from your sin.
Call on the Lord Jesus Christ in prayer to save you.
Pray and ask Jesus Christ to save you and forgive you of your sin. “But as
many received Him to them He gave the right to become the children of God, even to them that believe on His name.” John
